KMVITES CLEARS NATIONAL GRADUATE EXAMINATION IN PHYSICS
NGPE was conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment, Ranked No.1 in India by India Today Ranking (various categories)has been at the forefront in imparting quality education to the students. In KMV students are always encouraged to participate in various competitions. In a new initiative, the under graduate students of KMV participated in National Graduate Examination in Physics (NGPE) conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). It is worth mentioning here that our under graduate students have competed at National Level with the under graduate students of Miranda House (Delhi), St. Stephen College (Delhi), Punjabi University, Patiala & Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi etc. and brought laurels to the institute. A number of scholarships (subject to a maximum of 5) have been instituted to encourage students to take up physics as a career. The students who wish to take admission in M.Sc. Physics after NGPE are eligible for these scholarships. The students who have received scholarship are Anchal Sharma, Gursharanjit Kaur, Ankita Chaudhary, Komalpreet, Ritika, Ankita Sharma, Anayna Singh, Shweta and Kirti.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students on this remarkable achievement and averred that KMV from time to time encourages its students to participate in various national level competitions so that they are able to showcase their talent at a large platform. She lauded the efforts of Dr Neetu for motivating and training the students to participate in National Level competition.
