Jalandhar, February 26, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Botany students embarked on an industrial visit to Bhogpur Co-Operative Sugar Mills Ltd., Bhogpur to gain practical insights into the operations of a sugar mill.
The objective of this visit was to enhance the students’ theoretical understanding of sugar production and to provide them with real-world knowledge of industrial processes related to agriculture, manufacturing, and sustainability. The primary goal of the industrial visit was to observe the working of a sugar mill and its various processes, understand the machinery, equipment and technology involved in sugar production.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to interact with engineers and technicians working at the mill. They asked questions related to the various stages of production, the challenges faced by the industry, and innovations in sugar manufacturing. This interaction was an invaluable learning experience, as students could bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that visit emphasized the importance of sustainable practices in industrial operations and how industries can contribute to environmental conservation. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Department of Botany for successfully organising the visit.
