KMVites participate in National Youth Day celebrations

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated the National Youth Day with much fervor. The department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS and Student Welfare Club jointly celebrated the day based on the theme: “Youth for a Sustainable Future: Shaping the Nation with Resilience and Responsibility.” This theme highlights the youth’s role in tackling issues like climate change. It also emphasizes their role in fostering innovation and advancing society. This day honors Swami Vivekananda, a spiritual leader and youth icon. The students participated in activities like essay writing and power point presentation.

Jalandhar, January 11, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated the National Youth Day with much fervor. The department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS and Student Welfare Club jointly celebrated the day based on the theme: “Youth for a Sustainable Future: Shaping the Nation with Resilience and Responsibility.” This theme highlights the youth’s role in tackling issues like climate change. It also emphasizes their role in fostering innovation and advancing society. This day honors Swami Vivekananda, a spiritual leader and youth icon. The students participated in activities like essay writing and power point presentation. 

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi in her address to the students apprised the students about the contribution of Swami Vivekananda in highlighting the knowledge embedded in ancient Indian texts and tradition. She further apprised the students about NEP 2020, which follows Swami Vivekananda’s vision for nation and youth. She also linked his vision with the Indian Knowledge System, which is deeply inspired by the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. She motivated the students for global responsibilities, a step in a direction with a focus on holistic learning. 

Principal lauded the efforts of the organizers Dr. Madhumeet, Ashima Sahni, Dr. Sonik Bhatia, Anand Prabha and Dr. Iqbal Singh for successfully organising the celebrations.
