KMVites spread awareness about AIDS through meaningful videos
During the event, students from all streams made posters, slogans and unique videos depicting the importance of AIDS awareness
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya observed World AIDS Day by organising special series of events. The theme of World AIDS Day 2020 is "Global solidarity, resilient services. The event was organised by the Red Ribbon Club under the aegis of Department of Student Welfare.
During the event, students from all streams made posters, slogans and unique videos depicting the importance of AIDS awareness. Students through the help of posters and slogans highlighted the causes and prevention of this disease and also gave a message to stop all kinds of prejudices associated with AIDS so that a patient suffering from this disease should not feel outcasted but should be consider as a respectable member of the society.
Pranavcheet, Anjali, Arzoo, Jessica & Anshuman gave the message of AIDS awareness through videos, while Divya, Ripudaman, Anjali and Priyanka prepared beautiful posters and Gagandeep, Aanchal, Ruchi and Jashandeep Kaur made innovative slogans. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of the students & faculty members for organising such social awareness events. She averred that KMV always organise various health awareness activities for the students in the form of health camps organised at campus, expert talks from renowned doctors of the city, free medical check-up camp for the students, blood donation camps, counselling sessions & yoga camps for the students etc.
Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Mrs Sadhna Tandon, Head, PG Department of Zoology for successfully organising the event.
