Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred health is not just about physical well-being but also about the mental and social aspects. A person is said to be healthy if he/she possesses all three as health is central to human happiness and well-being. It also makes an important contribution to economic progress, as healthy populations live longer and are more productive. She further maintained that it is important to raise awareness about overall health and well being of people across the globe as millions of people around the world are becoming prey to many terrible diseases. Therefore, World Health Day holds a very relevant position in today’s world as the whole world is in the grips of COVID-19.

Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare and Head, PG Department of English  for successfully organising the celebrations.
