KMV’s budding entrepreneurs participate in Startup Bootcamp organised by GNDU

Jalandhar, February 16, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always organise various innovative activities and visits for inculcating innovative spirit among the students. In a new initiative, KMVites participated in technical Bootcamp program‘Tech-Startup- connect and Grow Event’ on Women Entrepreneurship organized by Golden Jubilee Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of Guru Nanak Dev University in association with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh. The major emphasis of this event was to sensitize early-stage entrepreneurs to propound their ideas. 

During the event, KMV students interacted with successful invited entrepreneurs Shikha Sareen, Chairperson- FICCI-FLO, Muskan Kapoor, MD Angels Paradise School and founder Grace Health Care, Amitesh Singh, Director- Novelty Group. Students also asked their queries about startup journey, various hurdles faced by them & management of finances for start-ups etc. The industry representatives also motivated the students to involve in startups and expressed their interest to help the students who want to venture into the exciting field of Entrepreneurship. 

During the visit, the students also got an opportunity to visit Incubation Centre at Guru Nanak Dev University. Dr P K Pati, coordinator of Golden Jubilee Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation motivated the students for entrepreneurship and also ensured the proper support by the centre. Students also received their certificates after the completion of the program. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students and also encouraged the budding entrepreneurs to take initiative for start-ups. She further maintained that KMV is working ceaselessly to foster innovative and entrepreneurial culture among students as promoting innovation and entrepreneurship is at the core of every activity performed by various departments of KMV. With the continuous motivation, guidance and support of the departments, many students have started their own ventures, be it a fashion boutique, beauty salon, diet clinic, nutritive foods manufacturing, bakery house, e-retailing, freelance photography & video editing etc.
