KMV’s Journalism and Mass Communication students excel in field of photography
Principal praised the efforts being done by the students
Jalandhar: Keeping with the trend, the students of PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya are excelling not only in academics but also in the field of Photography. Students of the department are not only focusing on the theoretical aspect of their studies, but are also learning new and innovative techniques of photography. The training on various techniques of photography such as multiple exposure photography, light painting photography, three point lighting photography, product photography, bokeh effect photography, macro & micro photography is being provided to the students in KMV. The photographs clicked by the students are also earning praises on many social media platforms & these photographs have also been exhibited at a city level exhibition organised by KMV. Moreover, the students of the department have also participated in many workshops which are addressed by many well known experts in the field of Journalism. Milind Damle, FTII Pune, an expert in film production taught the students the ropes of film production and film making in a four day workshop and Mr Ravi Davla, FTII, Pune trained the students about documentary filmmaking n and its techniques over a 10 day workshop.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi praised the efforts being done by the students of PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and also emphasised on the importance of practical knowledge for the students for their growth. She also averred that for the development of the students and to give them proper direction, students are provided with world class infrastructure including video & audio studio with much sophisticated photography & video production equipments at KMV so that they can get skill oriented training.
