KMV's Ms Pardeep Bags the Title of “Punjaban Mutiyaar”
KMVites Participate in 22nd International Hamdard Virasati Mela Jalandhar, February 19, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya , Jalandhar's students participated in 22nd International Hamdard Virasati Mela at Kapurthala. Out of 8 students, 5 were shortlisted for the final round. Making the KMV proud, Ms Pardeep a student of MA Punjabi bagged 1st prize and the title of "Punjaban Mutiyaar" along with a cash prize of Rs 5100\- and a "Sone Di Saggi". Ms Amanpreet of B.Com won 2nd runners-up position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2100\-. Ms Harmandeep of B.Voc (TDAT) bagged the title of "Giddiyan Di Rani" and Amandeep Kaur of BA Sem II bagged "Madhri Wekh Na Janni" title. These students were judged on the basis of dancing and question/answer round. The students were honoured with the certificates of Appreciation. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students for their exemplary performances and averred that such competitions instil passion for culture and tradition among students. These contests help the students to stick to their roots and to know more about their heritage. She lauded the efforts of Ms Geetika Singh and team ECA for preparing the students and grooming them well for these competitions and enabling them to win these prestigious titles.
