KMV’s NCC cadets Shruti Karwal and Harvinder Kaur participated in Independence Day celebrations at New Delhi

Jalandhar, August 20, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always motivate its students to participate in various co-curricular activities in order to develop their personality. In a new achievement, KMV’s NCC Sgt. Shruti Karwal and Sgt. Harvinder Kaur were selected for Independence Day celebration at New Delhi. Moreover, they were also part of the NCC contingent of Punjab that bagged second position from all over India during the cultural show organised by Directorate General NCC in which KMV cadets along with their team members participated in bhangra and flaunted their traditions and culture through their folk dance. Prizes were also given by DG NCC to the best 3 directorates and bhangra from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh bagged 2nd position from all over India. It was also a moment of great pride for our two NCC cadets as during the Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to meet NCC cadets from the directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh to personally interact with them and also asked them to show some Bhangra steps. 

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the NCC Cadets on their outstanding achievement and averred that KMV is the brand name of quality education with a commitment to meaningful futures. She further maintained that KMV prepares the students for joining the NCC by providing them with best facilities and also motivating them to work for the betterment of the society. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Lt. Seema Arora and Sufalica Kalia for motivating the students.
