Jalandhar, June 16, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) known for its commitment to education, sports and the cultural heritage of India, takes pride in the consistent achievements of its student-athletes in various sports.
In this series, the rugby team of K.M.V. demonstrated remarkable skills in the 8th Punjab State Senior Women Rugby Championship 2024 by securing a silver medal held at Guru Nanak Stadium, Amritsar. Team members Shagun Thakur, Manpreet Kaur, Divya, Harshita, Amarjeet, Pooja, Geeta, Asha, Nisha, Kajal, Shivani and Shifa received acclaim for their sportsmanship, dedication, and enthusiasm.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the group team for this special achievement, encouraging them to establish new dimensions of success with even more hard work and dedication in the future.
Dr. Davinder Singh, Head of the Physical Education Department, along with Manpreet Kaur and Coach Sunil Kumar, was also praised by Principal for providing the students with appropriate guidance.
