Chandigarh, April 28, 2023: The huge government job opportunities in Punjab during the last one year has encouraged the youth of the state for striving not only for employment but also for getting desirable employment. Another interesting aspect about this is that most of the youth who are getting government jobs have no one from their families in the government jobs before.
Such is the story of Kritika and Suraj Kumar, who received appointment letters as clerks in the General Administration Department of the Punjab Government this week. Kritika, a resident of Patiala who wants to shine like a star as per her name, says that she has cleared the preliminary examination for the post of Patwari, PSPCL preliminary examination, and written and typing test conducted by PSSSB. She said that she is the first member of her family to join the government job. Appreciating the recruitment drive being conducted by the Punjab Government in a transparent manner, Kritika said that this would help in stopping the brain drain and migration of skills from the state to foreign countries. She said that with this appointment, not only she but her whole family is very happy.
Suraj Kumar, son of Tilak Raj, a small farmer of village Hauj in Fazilka district, has been also aiming to serve as a police officer. Suraj said that he would continue his preparation for the post of a police officer while performing his services as a clerk with dedication. He said that his appointment to the current job without any recommendation or bribe has instilled in him the belief that everything is possible under this government. Surja said, “Jindagi ki asli udaan abhi baaki hai, Jindagi ke kai imtehan abhi baaki hai, Abhi to naapi hai mutthi bhar zamin humne, Abhi to sara aasman baaki hai”.
It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann handed over appointment letters to 408 youth for various positions in local government, general administration, public works, and technical education and industrial training departments this week. Addressing the youth on this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann through his motivational speech had also encouraged them to strive for more in life.
