KT Rama Rao inaugurated ALPLA India’s World Class Mould Shop and ALPLA Dual Education Center in partnership with Govt of Telangana and CII Telangana
Hyderabad, July 11, 2022: KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Industries, Municipal Administration & Urban Development inaugurated ALPLA India’s World Class Mould Shop and ALPLA Dual Education Center in partnership with Government of Telangana- Department of Technical Education and CII Telangana, in Pashamylaram, Telangana today.
Philipp Lehner, CEO of ALPLA Global, joined as the guest of honour in the inaugural function.
Addressing the 500 plus gathering before the inauguration, KT Rama Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao always says that whatever is taught must be aligned to the industry requirement. The Dual Education Centre that is set up is in line with that thinking process. It gives the much needed Industry exposure to its students. Out of 400 applications received just 11 are short listed which includes four girls. The DualEducation Centre will be a role model to the rest of the industries, he said and congratulated ALPLA India’s MD Mr Vagish Dixit for such a futuristic initiative.
Rao stressed upon the decentralisation of industries and its growth. All the parts of India must be growth corridors, he said.
Rao highlighted five silent revolutions such White, Yellow, Pink, Blue and Green through which overall development of the state across sectors is happening.
While explaining White revolution KT Rao gave an example of how Fountera, a New Zealand based Dairy company contributes 8% to its nation GDP. White revolution can transform the economy. It has all the power, he emphasised.
Rao also reminded what Chief Minister K. Chabdrashekhar Rao always tells them that their existing investors are the best brand ambassadors for future investments into the state.
The Industries Minister reminded the audience how TE Telangana achieved the unique distinction of being the state that offers peace to its industries and entrepreneurs. Peace of doing business is more important than the ease of doing business. He quickly added the cost of doing business and quality of doing business are also equally important.
Able leadership and stable government in Telangana is leading the state in all round development, he informed the audience.
Ours is an inclusive approach. Gradually, Telangana is also getting known as a manufacturing base, he concluded his address.
Austrian Ambassador Katharina Wieser this plant is the best example for good bilateral relationships between India and Austria. It is my second visit to the city. Dual Education Centre is a successful model of Austrian Education she said.
Philipp Lehner, Chief Executive Officer of Alpla Group observed the inauguration as a festive day. Global expertise and local capabilities are married in this plant. India is a developing hub. Hyderabad is an important market. This plant will develop local solutions with global technology. Technology is important. Safe and sustainable products are even more important. We find a way to bring them all together.
Navin Mittal, Commissioner of Technical and Collegiate Education, Govt of Telangana said Dual Education Centre is a solution to India’s skill crisis. The idea emerged on the sidelines of the CII Education Summit. It suits Indian needs, he said. He urged other industries to replicate this model.
ALPLA Mould Shop in Pashamylaram is the ALPLA Global’s 3rd Mould shop- the other two being in Austria and Germany. The choice of Pashamylaram,Telangana reflects huge confidence in techno-commercial skills of Indian professionals to support high end technical solutions from ideation to design and execution on highly complex injection mold related projects including manufacture of precision closures, pumps and devices and other injection molded component, said Vagish Dixit, MD of Alpla India while welcoming the gathering
ALPLA’s Dual Education Center draws its inspiration from similar programs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Vagish Dixit added. The program has been innovatively tweaked, thanks to the Government of Telangana- Department of Technical Education, by ensuring that diploma students from various polytechnic colleges complete 2 years of theoretical education in their colleges and then join the Dual Education Center of ALPLA. In this center, they are given practical hands-on education and training on the latest CNC machines and state of art technologies in Mechatronics. Students in this program are fully paid during their training period and offered jobs at the end of the program, Vagish Dixit added
Speaking further Vagish Dixit added that the ALPLA India has invested Rs 60 crores in the tool room and Rs 10 crores in Dual Education Center. With this, ALPLA’s investment in Pashamylaram, Telangana is
RS 500 crore, making it one of the top 15 plants out of 177 plants worldwide.
