Dharamsala, January 19, 2013: “The land mafia has grabbed the surrounding land in the area, which was proposed for the Central University by the previous government in Dehra of Kangra district. Congress-led state government has ordered the inquiry in this matter,” said Sudhir Sharma Minister of Urban Development in Dharamsala on Saturday.
Speaking to this Correspondent over the issue of Central University, the minister said,” The Central University was allotted by Sonia Gandhi for Dharamsala in 2007”.
He told that an inquiry in this regard had been ordered.
Further, he told that in order to reduce the mounting pressure of construction in Dharamsala town, the state government had decided in principle to set up a new satellite town near Chaitru with all modern facilities and civic amenities.
