Langar re-started for devotees in Jawala Mukhi Temple
Dharamsala, February 19, 2022: After a long wait of twenty three months, the ‘langar’ system was restarted in Shaktipeeth Shri Jwalamukhi Mandir in Kangra district on Saturday.
The members of the temple trust and the priests duly inaugurated the Langar for the devotees who came to the temple, after offering bhog to Mata Annapurna. As soon as the system started, hundreds of devotees had prasad of langar.
On March 17, 2020, in the midst of the first wave of Corona, the langar system of temples had to be stopped. The doors of Mata's langar were open for devotees only for seven days between March 2020 and February 2022, which had to be closed due to different waves of Corona. Now once again under the guidelines of the government, the langar system has re-started on Saturday.
Dinanath Yadav, temple officer, Jwalamukhi Shaktipeeth said that the langar system in Jwalamukhi temple has been started under the SOP issued by the government.
