Largest village of Ferozepur to have cities like infrastructure 

Ferozepur: Khai Feme Ke, the largest village of Ferozepur urban constituency is all set to have cities like infrastructure with a slew of development projects worth Rs. 3.45 Crore as most of the projects have already been executed in the village.

Divulging the details, MLA Urban Parminder Singh Pinki said that meeting the demand of villagers especially farmers, the Grain Market has been set up in the village at the cost of Rs. 91 Lac as the people had been demanding the grain market since the independence of the country. Now, another proposal to develop the grain market along with new sheds has been mooted to the state government to sanction funds of worth Rs. 2 Crore, said the MLA. 

In another major development, a multipurpose sports stadium has been approved by the government with a total cost of Rs. 20 Crore and the construction of which will soon be initiated, added MLA Parminder Singh Pinki. He further said that the stadium would be raised at par with the cricket stadium in government polytechnic college, Ferozepur which lately has been dedicated to the public.

The MLA handed over a cheque of Rs. 10 Lac to the village Panchayat for the development works of the village. He said that another cheque of Rs. 10 Lac was earlier given to the Panchayat for the construction of roads and drains in the village besides Rs. 5 Lac for the RO system in the village school and 5 Lac Rs. for the LED lights in the village.

The MLA said that the Ferozepur is no longer a backward area as a slew of development projects have been executed in the city and PGI satellite center is going to be on the pinnacle of all which will put Ferozepur at the high growth trajectory. The Sarpanch Kulbir Singh, Karamveer Singh Bhullar, Tarsem Singh, Swarn Singh along with other villagers expressed their gratitude towards MLA Parminder Singh Pinki for putting this village in the list of fastest developing villages of the state.
