It’s back to school again, and for Preciosa it’s back to another exciting season full of fashionable innovations. The end of summer brought the culmination of a whirlwind of international fashion events and activities.  With fresh inspirations from around the world and on the heels of (and complementing) its jewellery and fashion accessories colour forecasting tool for SS2016, this Czech crystal and glass king has prepared its latest divine collection of new shapes, colours and transformations of popular classics just in time for next spring and summer’s fashion designs.

 

Working with top and hot emerging fashion designers from North and South America, Asia and Europe, Preciosa’s latest collection succeeds in including something to please everyone.  Introduced in its CREATE INSPIRATIONS publication, the latest round of new product introduction open the horizon for an explosion of creativity for the SS2016 season and beyond!

 

Hanging on to the last days of Indian summer, Preciosa introduced a new beautiful pink: Paparadscha.  A delicate light-to-medium toned pink-orange native to Sri Lanka, its name mirrors the exotically beautiful blossoms after which it was named.  From the Sanskrit and Bengali words meaning lotus-coloured, this new shade will add a perfect light touch of oriental spice to next year’s soft colour palettes.

 

Keeping in line with the some of the dainty spring and summery tones of 2016, the next new addition to the Preciosa line actually has nothing to do with crystal at all – but it does perfectly complement it!  To round out its offering of metal components and set crystal components, Preciosa has added its Pretty in Pink (Gold) plating of 18K rose gold.  The trendy shiny rose-gold hue has already been spotted on the runways of top fashion brands, and its high-quality metal finish promises to be all the rage for SS2016!

 

The always classical nacre cabochon – so perfect for bridal, evening, or jewellery – has been transformed in this round of Preciosa innovations.  Typically a bead that can either only be strung or sewn-on, it is now newly available set as an individual stone or as part of the shimmering range of Preciosa Metal Bandings.  This opens up a whole new array of possibilities, from pearl-studded clothing to sparkling pearl-entwined ribbons on bridal bouquets.  It seems only the imagination is the limit!

 

Also dainty and always-popular, the butterfly shape has undergone its own metamorphosis in the anticipation of next spring.  The Fancy Stone is now offered as part of the Preciosa premium MAXIMA line.  With a new uniquely faceted cut it is ideal either as a central stone in any jewellery or fashion accessory, or in a swarm of fluttering beauty in singular bridal designs, one-of-a-kind accessories, couture footwear or ready-wear clothing.

 

The MAXIMA product line has another new member as well: the uniquely dazzling 16-faceted MC Rivoli.  The new quality of this striking Round Stone is available in all the most popular colours and finishes – but it can also be ordered with or without cups, making it an all-round winner for any collection or piece that needs a touch of glittering brilliance.

 

The MC Square 132 has also been reinvented for the SS2016 season. Set in either a sew-on or jewellery cup option, this product introduction goes hand-in-hand with the new jewellery cups Preciosa has introduced for its standard MC Square, Rivoli and MC Chaton.  Perfect for ready-wear or bespoke pieces, it increases these stones’ usability in even more fashion segments.

 

In the midst of its “last days of summer extravaganza” PRECIOSA has not forgotten about the mens and evening fashion segments by adding the MC Chessboard Square, MC Navette and MC Pearshape in an elegant jet colour. While the MC Navette and MC Pearshape expand the possibilities for accessories and clothing requiring sew-on stones, the MC Chessboard Square can be glued or set in cups to create designs for either sex. What’s more, the new MAXIMA Square also comes in Crystal, Crystal AB and Crystal Honey.
