Chandigarh, November 18, 2012: Madan Mohan Mittal, Social Security, women and child development Minister Punjab disclose here today that Insurance benefit has been given to Anganwari Workers and helpers.
He said that yearly premium of this insurance is Rs 280, out of which Rs 200 is to be provided by the government and Rs 80 is to be contributed by the Anganwari Worker/helper. Under this scheme, An amount of Rs. 30,000 would be given in case of normal death, Rs 75,000 would be given in case of accidental death, Rs. 37,500 in case of partial disability due to accident, Rs. 75,000 in case of complete disability. The children belonging to the insured members, who are studying in the class 9th to 12th, would be given scholarship Rs. 1,200 Per Annum. Rs. 20,000 would be given to those ladies who are suffering from cancer.
