Chandigarh, August 7, 2024: Professor Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh Launched the ‘Activity Booklet’ of DST Centre for policy research for the session 2023-2024 on Wednesday.
The Activity Booklet includes studies carried out in the domains of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), Industry-Academia collaborations, Private sector Incentivisation, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) about strengthening the R&D ecosystem of India. DST-CPR, PU is moving ahead with developing Science and Technology policies for PAN India and provides capacity-building initiatives in thematic areas with expertise in STI domains vis-à-vis I-A collaborations, IPRs, Technology Transfer, Disaster Risk Management, and SDGs, respectively. In this direction, A book titled “Science, Technology and Innovation Ecosystem: An Indian and Global Prospective” focussing on India's Science, Technology, and Innovation ecosystems in a comparative analysis with other innovation-backed global countries is also launched today. The centre is doing engagement, dialogues, knowledge exchange, and exploring innovative strategies and best practices to enhance the impact of science and technology on society to create a collaborative space for discussing and developing robust policies at the national level.
