Launch of India’s first ever live interactive bidding TV Show Bzinga exclusively on ZEE Keralam
Marries its digital gamified innovation of shopping through bidding with television, as a live game show
Kochi: After the roaring success of its one-of-a-kind online bidding app, Bzinga conquers the entertainment world by launching India’s first ever auction platform in the form of a TV show on Zee Keralam channel on the 7th of August, 2021. It has also launched a new version of its revolutionizing app, adding to the comfort and fun of shopping for branded products at their lowest price, for their extremely swift users.
The show involves interactive live bidding for home viewers through the Bzinga Mobile App as well as a bidding game in the studio, between 6 selected public bidders chosen from the group of people who have already installed the app and a celebrity guest present there.
Commenting on the show which will be premiering this weekend, Mr. Santosh Nair, Business Head – Zee Keralam said, “Our show campaign has been well received by the people we are receiving good feedback and an anticipation about Bzinga is growing. We are expecting an exciting launch for a show that is sure to entertain the audience in the coming weekends.’’
Ahead of the launch, Piyush Rajgarhia from Bzinga, said, “With the tremendous response received on the digital platform, we decided to expand this innovative auctioning format to the medium of television, in order to cater to a wider audience. We aim to make this unique combination of smart shopping coupled with entertainment accessible to people across all age groups and demographics, with the vision to make shopping fun and affordable.”
The show is being hosted by Govind Padmasoorya, popularly known as GP, who’s been making his mark in the Malayalam film industry for over a decade. GP has been winning audience’s heart across television and movies alike. He has recently been making his presence felt as a judge with Zee Keralam’s family reality show, Mr. and Mrs. This show is his second television outing with the channel and sees him take the presenter’s chair after a long time. His affable presence will play catalyst between celebrities who grace the show and other players, as they vie actively for the products.
What sets the format of this show apart is its thoughtfully designed key elements for home viewers as well as studio players. A total of 4 time-bound bidding rounds having 2 gift rooms with a product in each room will see the home viewers bid on the first product. The celebrity and 6 public bidders will bid on the second product, making it highly engaging and fun for everyone.
The show will see the introduction of elements like Auction Keys which will commence the bidding on the show and live display of the actual product. With 4 daily prizes in a variety of categories like mobile phones, travel packages, electronics etc. and weekly mega bumper prize and monthly jackpot bids including a car worth ₹4-6 lakhs, the TV show will be a thrilling watch, with each participant aiming for the lowest and unique bid.
With Kerala having the highest penetration of smartphones and internet in the country, coupled with immense enthusiasm for skill-based contests, Bzinga builds on this, providing Keralites a chance to acquire high-quality products in an exciting and never before seen way, and that too at the lowest price!
In its upgraded avatar, the app offers a more organized structure for users to participate. One of the new features allows the winner to sell his prize at the desired rates in the ‘Market place’. It also allows non-winners to buy the product at discounted rates as a ‘Consolation Offer.’ Users can also add products to their ‘wish list’ and bid at a later time. Since the app also allows multiple types of bidding for the user’s convenience apart from live bidding during the television show, it ensures that the users can continue the shopping experience on their preferred time.
