Law faculty of CTU participates in National Lok Adalat
Ludhiana, September 16, 2021: It is a privilege for School of Law, CT University that its Principal Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill along with other faculty members acted as members in National Lok Adalat Benches at Ludhiana and Jagraon.
In different benches, they acted as a capacity of a member namely Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Principal who got associated with Bishan Saroop Add., District and Session Judge, Ludhiana; Dr. Divya Khurana Assistant Professor got associated with Rakesh Kumar, Add. Principal Judge Family Court, Ludhiana whereas Aabha Sood, Assistant Professor got an opportunity to get associated with Sumit Makkar CJM, Ludhiana.
The other faculty members namely Vishu Sharma, Assistant Professor got associated with MS Suman Pathak, Add. Civil Judge (Sr. Division.); Raminder Singh, Assistant Professor, got associated with Harinder Singh Ld. Civil Judge (Junior Division) as a member of National Lok Adalat and exhorted the litigations to resolve the dispute through National Lok Adalat.
While throwing light over the proceedings, Principal Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill said, “It was a wonderful learning experience for all of us to be a part of this forum where disputes/cases pending in the court of law are settled or compromised amicably. During the proceedings, youngsters were given concessions on fine amount to traffic challans but after counseling and commitment for not indulging in violation of traffic norms in future. All faculty members were privileged to be the part of such sessions.”
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor congratulated the department and wished them luck for future endeavors.
