Law School Pune organizing SYMROLIC 2023 

Symbiosis Law School, Pune, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is organizing SYMROLIC 2023 in association with Symbiosis Law School, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur. The 11th International Annual Research Conference commences on 5th May, 2023 in Symbiosis Law School, Pune in a hybrid mode from 10:30 am onwards. This year’s theme is based on the topic ‘Rule of Law in Context: Globalisation and Indian Resonances to Sustainable Development Goals.’

SYMROLIC is a flagship event and one of the best practices of SLS Pune which receives participation from Law Colleges of repute. The conference shall provide a platform for researchers and scholars to engage in insightful discussions on various sub-themes. The event will be graced by the august presence of Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and Dr. Rajani R. Gupte, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International, (Deemed University).

Prof. (Dr.) Shashikala Gurpur, Fulbright Scholar, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Dean, Faculty of Law, SIU, Jean Monnet Chair Professor (EUC – Lamp co-funded by EU) will be delivering the inaugural address followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Director, National Forensic Science University who will release the bi-annual newsletter LexEt and Abstract Compilations for the research papers submitted for SYMROLIC. The Guest of Honour, Dr. Asha Bajpai, Professor, TISS, will virtually inaugurate the Symbiosis Child Law Centre.

SYMROLIC 2023 has received a total of 67 quality research papers deliberating upon the theme Rule of Law in Context: Globalisation and Indian Resonances to Sustainable Development Goals. The plenary session shall begin with the featuring of the theme, Legal Road to Sustainable Development Goals: Global and Indian Route by Prof. Dr. Shashikala Gurpur. A total of six tracks shall be conducted over the course of two days exploring a range of themes, including Law and Human Behaviour, Innovation, Science, Technology and Law, and International Law, Policy and Governance, among others. This diverse array of topics will provide a platform for fruitful and visionary discussions among the attendees.

The Research Conference will be graced by esteemed international luminaries, a testament to the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam values that are deeply ingrained in the ethos of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. The gathering of these intellectual minds will create a fertile ground for the exploration of paramount issues of significance.
