Chandigarh, January 29, 2025: The Department of Education, Panjab University Chandigarh, today organised a lecture-cum-interactive session on “Eye Health in the Times of Digital Technology” to highlight the impact of prolonged screen time on vision and overall well-being.
Dr. Satvinderpal Kaur, Chairperson of the Department, welcomed the participants, while Dr. Areet Kaur, Former Director of Health Services, Punjab, delivered an insightful talk on digital eye strain, its symptoms, and preventive measures like the 20-20-20 rule, eye exercises, blue light filters, and proper lighting. She emphasized the holistic well-being of digital users, discussing the role of nutrition, posture, mental relaxation, and lifestyle balance in maintaining optimal eye health.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A and a vote of thanks by Dr. Satvinderpal Kaur, reinforcing the need for mindful digital habits for both eye health and overall well-being.
