Lecture on ‘Agro Entrepreneurship: Career in wellbeing and Health’
Retired Indian Forest Service Officer (IFS), Hardeep Singh Kingra, today delivered a lecture on ‘Agro Entrepreneurship: Career in wellbeing and Health’ at the Department of Sociology.
Chandigarh, October 22, 2024: Retired Indian Forest Service Officer (IFS), Hardeep Singh Kingra, today delivered a lecture on ‘Agro Entrepreneurship: Career in wellbeing and Health’ at the Department of Sociology.
Over a hundred students, research scholars and faculty members from various disciplines joined the lecture.
In the conversation, Kingra highlighted that India is the most populated nation in the world and has the most significant young population. On the other hand, the young people in the workforce are not being handled in a proper way.
Kingra said that there is no shortage of production in agriculture in India but there is a problem in marketing of agriculture in India.
In addition to production, farmers should be educated about effective marketing strategies for improving their profits. The new cultivating technology and model in agriculture may produce the greatest possible profit.
Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, Dr. Vinod Kumar articulated the challenges India has owing to outdated agricultural technologies and proposed enhancements in agricultural productivity via the PQNK model.
In the end of lecture, Dr. Vinod Kumar gave his concluding remarks and thanked the speaker as well as students and scholars present from different departments.
