Chandigarh, February 22, 2024: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a lecture on “Pages to Professionalism: My Odyssey as a Library Leadership” under the Alumni Connect Series’.
Shivangi Singh, Research Scholar, anchored during the event. Dr. Shiv Kumar, chairperson, welcomed the invited resource person and participants and pointed out that ‘Alumni Connect’ Series is a good platform to have the interaction between alumni and students. Alumni also cherish the memories of their times.
Parveen Khurana, Librarian in-charge, from the divisional library sector 34, Chandigarh, director of American Spaces, Chandigarh was the resource person.
Parveen Khurana highlighted the "Pages to Professionalism: My Odyssey as a Library Leadership" as a captivating journey through one individual's rise to leadership within the library profession. From humble beginnings to overcoming challenges, his narrative offered insights, lessons learned, and strategies for aspiring library leaders. Furthermore, he explained navigating challenges and fostering growth and suggested making two her/his types of goals, long-term and short-term, for future growth.
He said while embarking on this odyssey, where passion meets profession, leadership emerges.
Today’s lecture was attended by about 60 participants.
In the end, Jasbir Singh, Research Scholar, presented vote of thanks to the resource person.
