Lecture on topic “Reproducibility of Statistical Hypothesis Tests”
As part of the Panjab University Global Science Week, UK's Durham University Professor Frank P. Coolen, a renowned expert in statistical methodology from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, delivered the lecture at the Department of Statistics on the topic “Reproducibility of Statistical Hypothesis Tests”.
Chandigarh, November 21, 2024: As part of the Panjab University Global Science Week, UK's Durham University Professor Frank P. Coolen, a renowned expert in statistical methodology from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, delivered the lecture at the Department of Statistics on the topic “Reproducibility of Statistical Hypothesis Tests”.
Addressing the audience in the hybrid mode, the key speaker Prof. Frank P. Coolen shared valuable insights into the importance and challenges of reproducibility in statistical hypothesis testing. In his talk, he discussed in detail about imprecise probabilities, Non parametric Inference and tests to compare multiple samples with examples in pharmaceutical research.
The objective of the event is to provide the students, researchers and faculty with exposure to latest advancements in science and technology, offering them a platform to interact with leading experts.

In the end vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Anju Goyal, Assistant Professor from the Department.
