Lecture organized as part of celebration of 50 years of academic excellence of USOL
More than 50 participants attended the lecture
Chandigarh: University School Open Learning (USOL), Panjab University, Chandigarh under the aegis of the Indian Science Congress Association (Chandigarh Chapter), organized a lecture in collaboration with Chandigarh Forum for Science and Technology Communication as a part of celebration of 50 years of academic excellence of USOL.
Prof. Vibhash Chandra Jha, Dean Visva Bharati University, West Bengal in his lecture on the theme of ‘Covid-19: Social Response through Changing Lifestyle’, elaborated the deep reaching effects of Covid-19 in all spheres of our lives and social responses have changed through changing lifestyles and shifting priorities. Positive and well- planned social response through changing lifestyle is a great way for the society to adopt such phase of re-adjustment, and return to their normal life.
Prof. R.C. Sobti, Former Vice Chancellor, PU and Baba Sahib Bhimrao, Ambedkar University, Lucknow while summing up the lecture laid importance on connectedness, which may not be physical though mental is the need of hour to face the challenges of this pandemic.
Earlier, Prof. Madhurima Verma, Chairperson, USOL in her welcome address said that USOL has been serving the ever growing needs of its learners since 1971 and is committed to serve on digital platform in the years to come.
