Left parties to hold rally against CAA, NPR and NRC on Marc 25 at Ludhiana
Punjab government should conduct census only on the basis of 2010 format: Bant Singh Brar
Ludhiana: Com Bant Singh Brar state secretary CPI Punjab called upon the people to join 9 left parties rally against CAA, NPR and NRC at Dana Mandi, Gill Road, Ludhiana on 25th March.
Addressing the General Body Meeting of CPI Ludhiana district he said that all the three are being done to divert people’s attention from the real issues facing the nation and with a purpose to split the society on communal lines. Several clauses in the NPR format will devoid crores of poor people from the citizenship and they will loose their fundamental rights as Indian citizens. He was critical of the Punjab government for preparing to conduct NPR on the same format as prepared by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The Punjab chief minister must clarify why after passing resolution against CAA in the assembly is running away from it, he said, adding that the census should be done on the basis of 2010 format.
D P Maur, District Secretary gave a detailed programme of large scale mobilization and public contact programmes till 25th March.
