Chandigarh, November 9, 2023: Legal Aid Clinic of University Institute of Legal Studies was recently rewarded as the best Legal Aid Clinic in Educational Institutions (College Level) by State Legal Services Authority, Union Territory, Chandigarh.
The State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh is commemorating National Legal Services Day on 9th November, 2023 at Govt. College of Education, Sector-20D, Chandigarh to celebrate the achievements of the workforce of State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh and District Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh where the Legal Aid Clinic, UILS will be recognised. Legal Aid Society conducted various events during the tenure 2022-2023 which includes debates, poster making, pamphlet making, awareness drives and Nukkad Natak in Collaboration with Municipal Corporation Chandigarh on various Socio-Legal issues. Online Legal Aid Clinic is the brainchild of former Director and present Dean Faculty of Laws and Chief Vigilance Officer Professor Rajinder Kaur. This year the Legal Aid Society has conducted survey on Awareness regarding Green Chandigarh and Nukkad Natak on topic listed NALSA by students of 9th Semester of UILS under the supervision of faculty coordinator Prof. Amita Verma, Dr. Karan Jawanda and Dr. Anupam Bahri under the able guidance of Prof. Sarabjit Kaur, Director UILS.
The initiative was supported by Vice Chancellor of Panjab University Prof. Renu Vig whose warm smile always motivates the faculty and students of Panjab University.
