Ludhiana, May 5, 2013: Harpreet Sandhu advocate and counsel for Bhartiya Valmiki Dharm Samaj (BHAVADHAS), Ludhiana called on Sanjay Gupta the producer and director of the movie titled “Shootout at Wadala” at Mumbai on Sunday and also sent a legal notice on behalf of Lachhman Dravid National Director ofBHAVADHAS calling upon the producer and director of the movie to furnish an unconditional written apology to his client in this regard within 24 hours after issue of this legal notice.
He also sought to delete the objectionable scene failing otherwise having no option but to take legal action as per provisions of law at Ludhiana against director Sanjay Gupta, producer Ekta Kapoor.
Meanwhile, a deputation of BHAVADHAS, also met Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, on Sunday, seeking stoppage of exhibiting the movie in the local theatres.
As per the available information, the movie was finally, withdrawn from three local theatres on Sunday.
As per the legal notice, Hindi Movie titled “Shootout atWadala” produced and directed by Sanjay Gupta, has been released on May 3 across the country. The objectionable scene arrives just after about twelve minutes during the screen of movie where the Bollywood actor Raju Kher initiates a dialogue with Bollywood actor John Abraham. BHAVADHAS members have found it to be the most objectionable, derogatory dialogue which has hurt the sentiments of the Valmiki Community.
