Legrand India felicitates second batch of ‘UGAM scholarship programme’ for higher education in France

Delhi, August 22,2019: Legrand India, a part of the Euro 5.5 billion Legrand Group and a specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructure honours the second batch of 25 deserving students for its ‘UGAM Legrand scholarship program’ transforming young students dream to reality. The scholarship programme, the first of its kind in the country, is launched in association with the Franco-Indian Education Trust (part of French Embassy in India) with the advisory support of Whiteswan consulting Group. Present at the event were Dana Purcarescu, the Chargé d’affaires a.i, Tony Berland, CEO and Managing Director, Legrand India, Sameer Saxena, Director Marketing, Legrand (Group)India, Abida Aneez, CSR Head, Legrand India & Palash Nandy, CEO Numeric. Through the UGAM scholarship programme, Legrand India aims to promote quality education to deserving Indian students by assisting them to pursue their Masters in France in recognized disciplines. The programme was launched in 2018, since then Legrand has been successful in supporting 26 students to take up their dream course in France. And, the selection of the deserving students for the scholarship basis the eligibility criteria of the programme. Through this programme the company is providing financial aid up to 10,000 Euros (INR 8 Lakhs) per student who wish to pursue higher education in in France. In line with Global CSR strategy, Legrand India is actively working towards the betterment of its Business Ecosystem, People and Environment.
