LETS and FICO pledge to plant 5000 plants and celebrate World Environment Day
On the World Environment Day today, FICO in association with LETS carried out the plantation drive in Phase VIII, Focal Point Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, June 5, 2022: On the World Environment Day today, Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) in association with Ludhiana Effluent & Treatment Society (LETS) carried out the plantation drive in Phase VIII, Focal Point Ludhiana.
Gurpreet Singh Gogi, MLA West, Ludhiana along with Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO, planted 10 trees inside & outside the common effluent treatment plant in Focal Point Phase VIII, Ludhiana and pledged to plant more than 5000 trees in coming rainy season around the Focal Points Ludhiana. They will also take care of the plants.
Narinder Bhamra, Former CEO of LETS along Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO said that on the World Environment Day they need to reconsider their priorities as the foods they eat, the air they breathe, the water they drink and the climate that makes they planet habitable all come from nature. To care for ourselves we must care for nature. This World Environment Day, let us pledge give our future generations A healthier and happier environment. He said both FICO and LETS will plant 2500 plants each outside their members’ factory premises, who will further take care of plants.
