Ludhiana, December 26, 2012: Industry leaders hailed the election of Avtar Singh as Chief Executive Officer Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society (LETS).

His unanimity as CEO is a resounding endorsement of his leadership qualities which would further enhance confidence of industry. His knowledge and pragmatic approach is well known for his industry friendly policies.

Avtar Singh said that empowering MSMEs for sustainable growth is his mission as they are the engines of growth that enable overall economic growth for the nation. His advice to MSMEs is to play to their strengths, be nibble, take quick decisions, take smaller risks and ultimately see the silver lining of opportunities in the currently dark economic scenario. He reiterated to provide better support to MSME’s in order to enable them to grow and expand.  

Singh further said that he would dignify the office he is about to step into on 1st January 2013. He will hold monthly review meetings by interacting regularly with prominent industrialists in order to draw map for future development and chalk out need based priorities. He will also look into the ways and means for the possibility of reducing water treatment charges besides the recovery of arrears. He declared that he will make all out efforts to improve financial condition of LETS for modernisation of treatment plant and infrastructure.
