LIBA joins hand with Kerala Flood Relief Campaign
Chennai, August 28, 2018: As a part of its flood relief effects for Kerala, Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) conducted a two day collection drive in the college premises. The students and faculties of LIBA donated items of daily necessity such as drinking water bottles, biscuits, sanitary napkins and blankets. In two days, a sum of Rs.60510/- was collected from the drive. The Onam celebration fund of Rs.97000/- was also donated to the flood relief fund. In total a sum of Rs.157510 was donated for the cause. In addition to this, some of the hostel boys and girls went to the nearby shops and residential societies to raise funds and collect supplies to be sent to the relief camps. They also spread the word about the procedure to donate towards the CM Disaster Relief Fund. Commenting on the collection drive, Fr. P Christie S.J, Director – LIBA said, “The students proved that no matter which state you belong to, when it comes to helping our own country people, we all come together as one family. The drive for the Kerala flood relief fund was a success and we at LIBA always believe that “Humanity is the first religion”. We hope that life in Kerala gets back to normal soon.”
