Tarn Taran, Punjab, February 13, 2025: Liberty General Insurance, one of India’s leading non-life insurers, continues its commitment to driving insurance awareness and accessibility with another impactful event under its collaboration with Maruti Suzuki Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd. Through the ‘Bima Prachaar Aur Prasaar’ initiative, the two organizations are working together to promote financial literacy and highlight the importance of insurance protection, ensuring that individuals in both rural and urban regions understand how insurance secures their future.
This initiative aligns with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s (IRDAI) Insurance for All by 2047 vision. As the designated non-life insurer for Delhi, Liberty General Insurance is spearheading awareness programs in the capital while simultaneously strengthening its rural outreach in Punjab’s Gram Panchayats. These efforts reflect Liberty’s broader commitment to ‘Suraksha Ka Vada, Bima Ke Saath’—a promise to provide reliable protection through insurance solutions that empower individuals and businesses alike.
The most recent event under this initiative took place in Tarn Taran, Punjab, drawing participation from over 170 local residents. The program included free vehicle inspections and eye check-ups, along with interactive sessions designed to educate attendees on the significance of insurance in ensuring financial stability. The enthusiastic response reinforced the increasing awareness among rural communities about the role of insurance in managing risks and securing their future.
Speaking on the initiative, Anurag Rampal, Senior Vice President and National Head - Central Distribution and Marketing Team, Liberty General Insurance emphasized the importance of reaching underserved communities, stating: “Insurance is more than just a financial product—it is a safety net that protects individuals and families from unforeseen challenges. However, in many parts of the country, especially the hinterlands, awareness about insurance remains limited. Through initiatives like ‘Bima Prachaar Aur Prasaar’, and ‘Suraksha ka Vada, Bima ke Saath’, we are actively addressing this gap by engaging directly with communities, educating them, and making insurance more accessible. Partnering with Maruti Suzuki Insurance Broking allows us to extend our reach, ensuring that more people benefit from the protection that insurance offers. Our goal is to make Suraksha Ka Vada, Bima Ke Saath a reality for every household.”
This initiative is part of Liberty General Insurance’s larger strategy to support IRDAI’s rural and social sector mandates, which require insurers to underwrite policies for underserved communities. Beyond meeting regulatory obligations, Liberty remains deeply committed to financial inclusion, ensuring that even those in remote regions have access to the right insurance products and knowledge.
By continuously expanding its grassroots-level outreach, Liberty General Insurance is reinforcing its role as a responsible insurer—one that not only provides insurance solutions but also actively works to educate and empower people across both urban and rural India.
