The second edition of the Woman Up! Summit to be held on 27th and 28th October 2018 in Jaipur!
New Delhi: Siyahi, India’s leading literary consultancy, today announced the line-up of speakers and sessions for the upcoming edition of its annual Woman Up! Summit. Organized by an all-women team under the leadership of Siyahi’s Founder – Mita Kapur, Woman Up! Summit is an inclusive platform that focuses on the global movement to empower women more and more through the lens of socio-economic and cultural development. The Summit was born to kick-start conversations around the need to empower Indian women with financial independence. This idea also led to the birth of the #WomenAtWork campaign that motivates organizations to increase the female workforce.
The Summit will have 17 sessions by trailblazers who will speak of their own journeys, as well as the unique, unheard narratives of women, who have stepped out to uplift entire communities, beyond barriers of class and caste. Some of the speakers who will be present at the event are – Divya Dutta (Actor), Manju Devi (First Female Coolie), Nirmala Kumari and Suman Kumari (Women Patrolling Unit), Shilpa Sharma (Jaypore, Breakaway and Mustard), Aanya Soni(Youngest Indian to visit Antarctica), Ajaita Shah (Frontier Markets), Aparna Jain(Author and Leadership Coach), Dolly Singh (Plus-size Yoga Practitioner), Radhika Sharma, Kalpana Bilwaal and Kalpana Palat(Jeevan Ashram Sanstha), Kaveri Lalchand (KAVERI), Leela Devi and Nisha Chouhan (UrmulSeematSamity), Major Dr. Meeta Singh (Dignity of Girl Child Foundation),Nirupa Rao (Botanical Illustrator), Noor Enayat (Publicist and Activist), Poonam Saxena (Author and Journalist), Puja Arya (Designer), Sabika Abbas Naqvi (Sar-e-Rahguzar), Tejaswani Gautam (IPS) and Vani Tripathi (Central Board of Film Certification).
Along with the sessions, there will be mentoring sessions with Ajaita Shah and Dolly Singh, on October 27, 2018.
