Linking School opens in CT Institutions

Jalandhar, December 27, 2014: In the current times the shortage of appropriately skilled workforce across many industries is emerging as a significant and complex challenge to India's growth and future.

 The Industry recruits young talent from engineering and management institutes with an expectation that they understand the environment and dynamics of the Industry and should start delivering results in shortest period of time.

 On the other hand, the Academia feels that the Industry will invest time, energy and money to train the young talent recruited by them and give them adequate time to start performing.  Due to the difference in thinking and approach, a divide is created between the Industry and Academia.

 A unique Initiative, The Linking School opened with joint efforts of CT Group of Institutions and Progressive Horizons promoted by professional  with an objective  to bridge the divide between Academia and Industry by developing the right skills required by the students and grooming them to become Industry ready.

 The Linking School aims to Link Industry to the Engineering and Management Institutions, the same way as Hospitals are attached to all medical Institutions.

 Promoter of Linking School concept Amit Chadha said that this school will work with the Industry to develop and teach the Industry specific content enabling greater fitment of students in Industry. The school will also identify the skill set required by various industries and help students to get the Placements

 The Linking School conducted  bouquet of Professional Training Modules which will cater to various aspects of Industry requirement which included Six Sigma by Motorola , Supply Management, Personality development & Leadership  , Business communications,  lean Management , Basic IT Skills and on core specific management / engineering subjects .

 The school conducted its first valedictory function after imparting professional training to group of 50 students from CT Institutions, APJ Institute of Management, GNDU and NIT Jalandhar. The Valedictory was attended by various personalities from industry and Academia including Ashwani Kumar Director Victors Tools, Sukdhev Singh, MD AGI Group, Kuldeep Singh PMC Consultant ,  Sudhir Gera and Ahsanul Haq

 Manbir Singh (Managing Director), CT Institutions shared that the Initiative of linking school is the first of its kind in the region and the CT Institution shall always look for imparting practical know how to its students so that they are industry ready from day one.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director, CT Institutions Shared that Linking school will be a win - win for students, Academia and Industry . The Student becomes Industry ready and the employability increases.  The Industry gets resources who can value add from day 1 as per their expectations. Academia will be benefited by increase in placements.
