Lions Computer and Education Institute inaugurated

Ludhiana, April 13, 2019: Lions Club Ludhiana in line with spirit of lionism, serving with passion & tag line of Lions International–WE SERVE, is inaugurated a permanent project under banner of Lions Computer and Education Institute at Lions Bhawan, 9B, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana. This is a computer education initiative for under privileged kids. Giving a brief of this project President & Convener Lion Er.Varun Chandok of Lions Club Ludhiana said that this Centre has been started with generous donations of Lion members within and outside the country. Lion President informed that a team of coordinators has been formed to develop this centre to run successfully. The computer centre will have elementary courses, Hardware & Accounting, Web Designing & many more short term courses guided by expert faculty. The project is being run on no profit no loss basis. Under privileged kids & youngsters will benefit from this project becoming computer literate at a nominal fee. Further tie-ups with various associations are being done for providing job placements for the students. This centre will also help in generation of jobs for the needy. The project is being ably supported by Lions Bhawan Trust(Regd.),Ludhiana. Trust is already running charitable homeopathic dispensary from last two decades. The project was inaugurated by MJF Lion Gopal Krishan Sharma, VDG-I and MJF Lion P.R.Jairath, VDG-II. Lion Sharma while appreciating the efforts of Lions Club said Lions all over the world stand for service to humanity. Lion Jairath said that nothing was more satisfying then helping underprivileged sections of the society and to make them gel with main stream. Lion UPS Sachdeva, Secretary while delivering the vote of thanks said that this state of the art facility would go a long way in promoting the spirit of lionism.
