LIT clears encroachments at 4 places including one by former LIT chairman
Cracking down heavily on the encroachments, the Ludhiana Improvement Trust today removed encroachments at four places in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar areas of the city.
Ludhiana, August 4, 2022: Cracking down heavily on the encroachments, the Ludhiana Improvement Trust today removed encroachments at four places in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar areas of the city.
On the directions of LIT Chairperson Surabhi Malik, a special team of the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) razed the encroachments in 377/64 number-plot under J-block and 334 number-plot under Block-G of Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. The LIT team demolished illegal structures in these plots. Similarly, an illegal gate was erected in the park by former LIT chairman Raman Subramanian to park his own personal car. A complaint was also lodged by city residents. Today, the LIT team permanently locked the gate to block the entry of cars. A small gate was opened for general public by team at the spot.
In Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, LIT also removed an encroachment by a person in front of 141-H plot. On the occasion a heavy deployment of Police force was also made.
Surabhi Malik said that mushrooming up of encroachments would not be allowed and LIT was also keeping strict vigil to check the coming up of such structures. She said that LIT would take strict action against any kind of encroachments coming up in its jurisdiction.
