Jalandhar, November 30, 2024: Literary Club of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, organized a vibrant Spell Bee Contest on Friday, fostering a love for language and enhancing vocabulary skills among students. The competition, held in three engaging phases, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 9 and 10.
In the *first phase, all students of Classes 9 and 10 participated in a dictation test, where their spelling skills were rigorously tested. From this, the most proficient spellers were shortlisted for the next phase. The **second phase* further narrowed down the contestants through an intensive evaluation. The final phase culminated in an exciting quiz competition featuring the top spellers.
The quiz, conducted by the dynamic Quiz Master Ms. Nidhi, had four thrilling rounds:
1. *Spell Splash* – A test of accuracy in spelling challenging words.
2. *Mind Benders* – A round that tested critical thinking and word formation skills.
3. *Spell A Trap* – A tricky segment aimed at identifying and correcting common spelling errors.
4. *Jumble Fumble* – A fun yet challenging round of unscrambling letters to form correct words.
The four competing teams, creatively named *Alphabet Avengers, **Lexicon Legends, **Word Wizard, and **Buzzing Brains*, showcased their exceptional spelling prowess and quick thinking. Both the participants and the audience actively engaged in the quiz, adding to the lively atmosphere of the event.
In the end, *Lexicon Legends* emerged victorious, demonstrating outstanding spelling acumen and teamwork. Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir lauded the efforts of all participants and the Quiz Master for making the event both educational and entertaining. The competition not only celebrated linguistic excellence but also inspired students to delve deeper into the fascinating world of words.
