To provide information related to schemes of financial assistance to budding entrepreneurs, a Loan Mela was organized in the college in collaboration with District Administration and UCO Bank. The chief guest of the event were ADC General Dr. Amit Mahajan and ADC Development Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa. LKC Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur welcomed the guests with bouquet.
During the address, ADC Dr. Mahajan shared his story of reaching the higher post and urged the students to take the opportunities available to make their dreams come true. He assured that district administration is always ready to guide and assist students to take advantage of various govt. policies. ADC Bajwa suggested some of the novel ways in entrepreneurship taking into consideration the future needs of the society.
Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur motivated the students to make a road map to their economic stability and work smartly to achieve that with the help of district administration and government schemes.
UCO Bank head Negi and Modi explained Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Prigramme (PMEGP) to the audience. This event of interaction between youth and budding businessmen with successful bankers was part of Yuva Samvad started by NSS under the guidance of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
During this interactive session, students asked questions related to investment, new projects, funding, challenges faced by youth in starting new business and loan assistance which were duly answered by the speakers.
During the event, faculty members, students, NSS volunteers, budding entrepreneurs, civilians and press reporters were present in large number.
