Local bodies dept issues draft notification for ward delimitation, residents can submit objections/suggestions within a week
Local bodies department, Punjab has issued the draft notification for ward delimitation of the area falling under the jurisdiction of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC).

Ludhiana, August 4, 2023: Local bodies department, Punjab has issued the draft notification for ward delimitation of the area falling under the jurisdiction of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC).
The map of draft ward delimitation has been installed at MC Zone D office and the residents can submit the objections/suggestions regarding the draft notification with the MC within the time period of a week starting from August 4. The objections can be submitted with the MC officials in writing.
In the draft notification, the city area has been divided into 95 wards with 50 percent of the wards reserved for women. Fourteen wards have been reserved for SC category and two for BC categories.
The civic body officials stated that the draft notification has been prepared by rationalizing the population of the city among different wards.
MC Commissioner Dr Shena Aggarwal stated that working on the process to finalise the ward delimitation in the city, the map of draft ward delimitation has been installed at MC Zone D office. The residents can submit the objections regarding the draft notification of ward delimitation within a week starting from August 4.
