Ludhiana: The Urban Health Centre, Shimlapuri, DMC&H commemorated Plaque unveiling ceremony today in celebration of 100 children delivered under Swasth Nari Abhiyan. The event highlighted the center’s commitment to community service and health awareness.
Under Swasth Nari Abhyan, DMC&H is providing free delivery services & subsidized cesarean sections to bridge the healthcare gap and ensure quality care to all regardless of financial status.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society ,graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, inaugurated the ceremony, making it a momentous occasion. The event was further enriched by the presence of Mukesh Verma, Treasurer DMC&H Managing Society, Principal Dr G S Wander, Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dr. Sandeep Sharma & Dr. Ashwani K Chaudhary- Medical superintendents of DMC&H.
DMC&H has successfully conducted 500 deliveries under this scheme, headed by- Dr. Ashima Taneja, Professor & Head Department of Obst., & Gyane, DMC&H), Dr. Puneet Pooni, Professor & Head of Pediatrics, DMC&H , Dr. Suneet Kathuria, Professor & Head Department of Anesthesia & Dr. Anurag Chaudhary, Professor & Head Department of Community Medicine.
This initiative is supported by Dr. Suman Puri, Dr. Sunil K. Juneja, Dr. Pooja Tandon, Dr. Muskan Chaudhary, Dr. Swati Jain, Dr. Surbhi Handa & Dr. Rooprishma Kaur. The celebration emphasized the importance of free delivery services and the, aimed at enhancing healthcare facilities for underprivileged women.
The event also highlighted that the Urban Health Centre, DMC&H provides a range of OPD services, including Dermatology, Eye, Dental and Pediatrics, ensuring holistic well-being for the community.
