Jalandhar, January 14, 2025: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated Lohri with immense joy and enthusiasm.The school campus resonated with the festive spirit as the School Principal , staff and students came together to mark the harvest festival, symbolizing prosperity and gratitude.
The celebration began with the lighting of a traditional bonfire, around which students and teachers gathered to seek blessings for a prosperous new year. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as everyone danced joyfully around the bonfire to the beats of Punjabi music and dhol.
To add to the festive spirit, traditional sweets like rewaris, gachaks, and peanuts were distributed among the students and the staff , symbolizing the spirit of sharing and gratitude.
Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Lohri as a harvest festival and a celebration of nature's abundance. He encouraged students to uphold their cultural traditions and spread happiness and harmony.
