Lohri festival celebrated in Innocent Hearts
Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions and Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated the festival of Lohri with pomp and show.
Jalandhar, January 12, 2024: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions and Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated the festival of Lohri with pomp and show.
On this occasion, the NSS unit of the college also celebrated National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Lohri festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm to enrich the traditional Punjabi customs and folklore.
Students displayed diverse talents and danced on Punjabi songs and boliyaan and participated in cultural program. Reflecting the spirit of Lohri, not only delicious dishes were distributed among the attendees but a collage making competition was also organized on the theme 'Punjabi Dishes and Customs Followed in Lohri'.
Poster-making and slogan writing competitions were organized on the inspiring ideals of Swami Vivekananda to instill a sense of optimism, unity and responsibility among the youth.
Deputy Director School and Colleges Rahul Jain, Principal, Innocent Hearts College of Education, Dr. Arjinder Singh, Officiating Director, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, senior teachers and students were present in this program.
