Lohri Quotes from Dil Diyaan Gallaan artists

Ravi Gossain, who plays the character of Randeep, said,

“Lohri is a festival that brings back many fond memories. These days outside of shooting, I usually have a small celebration in my society. I really miss Delhi and Punjab around this time! As kids, we used to run around gathering kindling for the fire and picking up pieces of wood, trying to make sure every bonfire was bigger than the next. I also remember learning to make Gajak with my Nani! It’s one of my favorite things to look back on. My grandparents used to be a big part of our Lohri celebrations. They would quietly pass along 5–10-rupee notes to us and we always saved those! My message to the people and fans out there is, spend time with your family this Lohri, especially your elders! Maybe learn how to make some Gajak and send it my way if there’s any left! A very Happy Lohri to everyone!”

Sandeep Baswana, who plays the character of Mandeep, said,

“Lohri is very close to my heart and it has always been about spending time with my family, celebrating the festival with near and dear ones and participating in Lohri rituals and pooja. My favourite Lohri delicacy isGajak, Moongphaali ki Patti and Rewari. This time, the celebrations and excitement for the festival is even more as after a long time I am getting an opportunity to celebrate the festival twice, both with my reel and real family. My message to everyone who is celebrating Lohri - stay close to your family and enjoy this time off with your close ones, life is very short so enjoy every little moment. With our hectic schedules, we often don’t get a chance to spend quality time with parents, so grab this opportunity and make the most of it!  Wishing my well-wishers a very happy and joyous Lohri. Stay safe, stay blessed, and I hope everyone has a great year ahead.”

Hema Sood, who plays the character of Riya, said,

“Lohri to me is all about togetherness and family. In my childhood I remember it being the first celebration of the year. My Sooraj Barjatiya-esque family would all gather around the fire, dance, eat loads of great food and have a gala time. All the Chachas, Tayaji’s and cousins would catch up with each other and it felt like a camp! Gudd waali Gajak and Moongfalli’s are my favorite Lohri delicacies! Post pandemic, this is the first year I’m celebrating Lohri away from my family. The fact that I’ve been super busy has helped with not missing them too much. In fact, this year I think they’ll miss me more! This will also be my first Lohri celebration on set and it is something I’m really looking forward to! My message to the people away from their families this year is, stay connected! Call them up, keep them close and surround yourself with good company. Also to the fans, thank you for supporting our show! Keep watching and loving us. We love you loads and a Happy Lohri to all!’

Paras Arora, who plays the character of Veer, said,

“This time I am more excited about Lohri because there are going to be double celebrations. One with my family and friends and the other celebration with my reel family on set. Around Lohri we will also be shooting the sequence for the show, there will be a lot of dancing to Punjabi songs and I love dancing so I am really looking forward to it. Despite residing in Mumbai, Lohri has always been special. When I think of this festival, the winter, and how the pyre is lit up and we go around it and place prasad in it, I always get nostalgic. I highly suggest anyone who is away from their family at this time to talk to them, especially with their mothers. When I moved away, my mother used to also put a special plate of prasad for me. I wish everyone a very happy Lohri, be happy and healthy and celebrate this pious festival in all its glory.

Kaveri Priyam, who plays the character of Amrita, said,

“I think Lohri is a symbol of new beginnings and always brings hope into everyone's life. Staying in Mumbai I have had a lot of opportunities to celebrate this festival with friends who belong to Punjab. My favorite Lohri delicacy has to hands down is ‘Til Ke Ladoo’. I think this year on the day of Lohri, I will be shooting for my show and we are planning to go-out for dinner that day and enjoy this festival together as a big family. I will definitely miss home and my family during this festive season, however, I think I have been fortunate enough to have found another family in Mumbai with the cast of Dil Diyaan Gallaan. I think this Lohri is even more special as my character in the show Amrita is here in India and it will be her first Lohri with her family and it’s an important moment as she is going to live that the feeling of celebrating a festival like Lohri together with her family so I am looking forward to it. Lastly, I would take this opportunity to thank my fans for all the love and support they have been showering on us. Wish everyone a very Happy Lohri, celebrate it with your family and don’t forget to tune into Dil Diyaan Gallaan only on Sony SAB.”

Pankaj Barry who plays the character of Dilpreet, said,

“This year we will be celebrating Lohri on set! We have begun shooting and all of us are really enjoying the sequence. It’s extremely well written, well decorated and we have really beautiful clothes. Looking back, in my hometown in Pinjore, we used to celebrate Lohri with a lot of ‘dhoom-dhaam’. Whether it be dancing, singing or eating, we used to do it with our hearts full of happiness. My favorite Lohri delicacies include til ke laddoo, moongphalli, murunde and anything with ghee! We used to eat a lot of rich foods during Lohri, including rajma and chane. It was also very cold this time around, so we used to really love warming up around the fire. ‘Sunder munderiye’ was one of my favorite songs to sing and all the kids used to run around the neighborhood collecting Lohri. At that time, even receiving 50 paisa was a lot! My mother used to hand me revdi and make me walk around the fire throwing ‘til’ into it. I especially miss my parents and family this time of the year. I’ve asked all my family members to send me videos of them celebrating in the North. My message to people away from their loved ones is stay connected to them and spread love and happiness around you. To the fans, thank you for always showering me with love and blessings and I hope you continue to do so! We hope you’re enjoying watching our show as much as we’re enjoying making it and we really think you will love what we have in store for you.”
