`Lok Saanjhedari’ campaign starts in District Ludhiana
Ignore false propaganda and take advantage of free test facility: Captain Sandeep Singh Sandhu
Mullanpur / Ludhiana: The district administration has launched a ''Lok Saanjhedari' campaign to spread awareness about the precautions and awareness of COVID 19 from door to door under 'Mission Fateh' launched by the Punjab Government. Capt. Sandeep Singh Sandhu, Political Secretary to the Punjab Chief Minister started the campaign during a function held at Mullanpur today. On this occasion, PEDA Vice Chairman Mr Karan Singh Waring, Ludhiana (West) SDM Mr Amarinder Singh Malli, President Municipal Council Mullanpur Mr Telu Ram, District Public Relations Officer Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, District Epidemiemologist Dr Ramesh Kumar, senior Congress leader Manjit Singh Bharowal and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion Capt. Sandhu said that under this campaign 5-5 member committees would be formed in each ward. These committees will go door-to-door to spread awareness about 'Mission Fateh'. These committees would include health workers of the health department, esteemed women, social workers, youth and representatives of NGOs. He said that the public awareness campaign 'Mission Fateh' launched by the Punjab government to rid the state of COVID would be continued until the disease was eradicated. He said that the objective of Mission Fateh was to make the people aware of the precautionary measures taken by the government and the health department to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
He said that through this campaign the government and the district administration have to ensure the participation of every responsible citizen and organization in the awareness campaign to make the state and the district COVID 19 free. Wearing masks, taking care of the cleanliness of our hands and following social distances without crowding, we will protect our surroundings from the dangers of the corona.
He appealed to the people to put aside the misleading propaganda about non-testing and get as many tests as possible and if any symptoms are found, they should be admitted to government hospitals for free treatment.
It may be recalled that the campaign was also launched in other cities of Ludhiana district today.
