LOK SABHA ELECTIONS 2019:  10 NOMINATIONS FILED FOR LUDHIANA PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCY ON DAY 5
Ludhiana, April 26, 2019: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019, 10 more candidates filed their nomination papers on the fifth day today. These include Mr Bintu Kumar Taank from Ambedkar National Congress, Mr Rajinder Kumar from Hindu Samaj Party, Mr Tejpal Singh from Aam Aadmi Party, Mrs Amanjot Kaur from Aam Aadmi Party, Mr Pardeep Singh from Samaj Adhikar Kalyan Party, Mr Mahesh Inder Singh from Shiromani Akali Dal, Mr Simarjeet Singh from Lok Insaaf Party, Mrs Surinder Kaur from Lok Insaaf Party, Mr Brijesh Kumar from Peoples Party of India (Democratic) and Mr Devinder Bhagria from Hindustan Shakti Sena. The total nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections had started on April 22, 2019 and till now, a total of eighteen candidates have filed their nomination papers. On the first day of filing of nominations, two persons namely Mr Baldev Raj Katna from Nationalist Justice Party and Mr Jai Parkash Jain as an independent, had filed their nomination papers, no nominations were filed on day two while three candidates namely Mr Ravinder Pal Singh and Mr Jasdeep Singh (both as Independents), while Mr Daljit Singh from People's Party of India (Secular) had filed their nominations. Three nominations were filed yesterday namely Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu and Mrs Anupama from Indian National Congress, while Mr Lal Chand Rao as an independent. Ten nominations were filed today. District Election Officer Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today informed that the nominations for the upcoming elections would be filed in the office of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer situated in District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 11 am to 3 pm on April 29, 2019 only as April 27 (Saturday) and April 28 (Sunday) would be holidays. The filing of nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections would continue till April 29, 2019. The scrutiny of the nominations would be done on April 30, 2019, and the last date of withdrawal of candidature would be May 2, 2019.
