Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Civil administration and Police conduct flag march in Ludhiana East
With an aim to instil a sense of security among voters ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) of Ludhiana East Chetan Bunger and ACP (East) Sandeep Singh conducted a flag march in busy areas of Ludhiana East constituency on Thursday.
Ludhiana, March 28, 2024: With an aim to instil a sense of security among voters ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) of Ludhiana East Chetan Bunger and ACP (East) Sandeep Singh conducted a flag march in busy areas of Ludhiana East constituency on Thursday.
The flag march was conducted in busy areas including Tibba road, Tajpur road, Sector 32 on Chandigarh road etc. SHOs of Police station division number 7 Bhupinder Singh and Police Station Tibba Gurpreet Singh, Incharge of Tajpur police post Jaspal Singh among others were also present during the flag march.
Interacting with the people during the flag march, ARO Chetan Bunger and ACP Sandeep Singh said that civil administration and police are duty-bound to maintain law and order in the district. They added that no anti-social element would be allowed to disturb the peace.
They called upon the residents to exercise their right to vote without any fear.
They said that the required security arrangements are being put in place and the people should cast their vote without coming under anyone's influence on June 1.
Working on the directions of District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sawhney, ARO Chetan Bunger and ACP Sandeep Singh reiterated the commitment of civil administration and police to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.
