LOK SABHA ELECTIONS: DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION MOTIVATES RESIDENTS TO CAST THEIR VOTE IN FREE & FAIR MANNER WITHOUT ANY FEAR
Ludhiana, April 13, 2019: To commemorate 100 years of Jallianwala Bagh massacre and on the occasion of Vaisakhi, the District Administration today organised a function at Sarabha Nagar main market, here. This function was organised under the SVEEP activities and in view of upcoming Lok Sabha elections. ADC Jagraon-cum-Nodal Officer SVEEP activities Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the gathering, Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta urged the residents to follow the path shown by our great martyrs of the freedom struggle. She said that it was due to the sacrifices made by the martyrs that our country got independent and every person has the equal right to vote. She urged the residents to cast their vote in a free and fair manner and without any fear. She urged the residents to cast their vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections so that our democracy is strengthened. On this occasion, the volunteers of NGO "Initiators of Change" held a flash mob, and performed Bhangra and Malwai Gidha. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Assistant Returning Officer Miss Sonam Chaudhary, Mr Gauravdeep Singh from Initiators of Change, Mr Suraj Manchanda, besides several others.
