Lok Sabha Elections: Election Observers of Fatehgarh Sahib PC hold meeting with DEO, CP, SSPs and AROs of Five assembly segments
Election Observers of Fatehgarh Sahib Parliamentary constituency including General Observer Rakesh Shankar, IAS , Police Observer Sandeep Gajanan Diwan, IPS, and Expenditure Observer Anand Kumar, IRS, held a meeting with the District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney, Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Chahal, SSP Khanna Amneet Kondal, SSP Jagraon Navneet Singh Bains among other officials and reviewed the arrangements made for smooth conduct of general elections.
Ludhiana, May 17, 2024: Election Observers of Fatehgarh Sahib Parliamentary constituency including General Observer Rakesh Shankar, IAS , Police Observer Sandeep Gajanan Diwan, IPS, and Expenditure Observer Anand Kumar, IRS, held a meeting with the District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney, Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Chahal, SSP Khanna Amneet Kondal, SSP Jagraon Navneet Singh Bains among other officials and reviewed the arrangements made for smooth conduct of general elections.
Five assembly segments of Ludhiana district including Khanna, Sahnewal, Raikot, Payal and Samrala fall under Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituency.
The Election Observers of Fatehgarh Sahib Parliamentary constituency General observer Rakesh Shankar, IAS , Police Observer Sandeep Gajanan Diwan, IPS, and Expenditure Observer Anand Kumar, IRS directed the officials to ensure proper security arrangements at the polling stations with vulnerable pockets and critical polling stations.
They said that the AROs must make roadmap of deploying CAPFs by holding discussions with their police counterparts to instill confidence among the voters and to ensure peaceful conduct of elections. They also told them to make adequate security arrangements of the pre-poll and post-poll strong rooms with 24x7 CCTV surveillance, three-tier security to guard the strong rooms.
They also asked them to ensure the smooth exercise of the issuing postal ballots to PWD voters, 80 plus voters, service voters etc.
Later, the election observers, DEO and police officials also inspected the strong rooms and counting centres of Fatehgarh Sahib constituency established in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC). Directions were issued toto ensure proper security arrangements.
